Effective October 10, 2021, we changed our donation receiving days in order to avoid the congestion it causes while we are distributing food to our members. The good news is we are no longer asking for donations by appointment. A win for all.
Unfortunately, we continue to experience episodes of the community dumping items on our property which should have been taken to the dump. These are things we cannot sell in our Thrift Store. As a result, we had to obtain a 3 yard dumpster from Sweet Home Sanitation in order to manage the massive amount of garbage from community dumped "donations." Sadly, doing so takes money away from purchasing food for our low income members and paying our expenses. We had to revise the list of donated items we could accept for the Thrift Store. If we can't sell an item in the store, we shouldn't be accepting that item, right? If you are donating something you wouldn't give to a friend as a gift, it doesn't belong in our thrift store.
We gratefully accept the following donations in clean, dry working condition.
When we can resume accepting other items, we will update this list. Thank you for your generous donations and understanding.
