Donation Times

Sweet Home Gleaners takes donations Thursday through Saturdays and Mondays from 9 am to 4:30 pm.  Sundaydays 1 pm to 4:30 pm.

Sweet Home Gleaners gladly accepts (in gently used, good condition):

The following are some examples of donations we accept call 541-367-3190 and ask if an item is not on this list:

  • Appliances, Small (irons, vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, radios, etc.)
  • Area rugs 
  • Bed frames
  • Bicycles 
  • Books 
  • Clothing (shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, sweaters, etc.) · Computers, and Accessories (in any condition
  • Computer Monitors, non-CRT (flat screen Monitors in working condition) 
  • Dishes, pots and pans 
  • Exercise Equipment, Small (resistance bands, weights, workout items)  
  • Food 
  • Furniture, Household (chairs, kitchen set, end table, coffee table, etc) 
  • Furniture, Lawn 
  • Hand tools 
  • Media items (DVD, VHS, CD, Vinyl Records, Blu-Ray, etc) 
  • Lamps (working condition) 
  • Lawn and garden tools 
  • Shoes
  • Sports equipment (baseball, basketball, fishing poles, football, golf, hockey, tennis, etc) 
  • Televisions, non-CRT (flat screen TVs in working condition)  
  • Toys  

Sweet Home Gleaners is unable to accept:

Volunteers may decline a donation if, in their judgment, it is not in clean, or in sell-able condition or if they are unable to assist with larger items due to risk of injury. 


We are unable to accept the following due to, legal or liability risks, safety or hazardous/universal waste concerns, recycling and/or disposal fees:  


  • Air Conditioners (other Freon-containing appliances) 
  • Ammunition or Weapons, (including BB guns, pellet guns and arrows)
  • Baby Equipment 
  • Bed Pillows 
  • Bike Helmets, Used 
  • Bunk beds 
  • Construction debris 
  • Couches, Recliners, furniture that is upolstered. 
  • Fax Machines, Printers, and Copiers (Large Standing and small) 
  • Exercise Equipment, Large (Treadmills, Bowflex, Elliptical Machines, etc) 
  • Furniture in unsellable or broken condition 
  • Hazardous Wastes (lead acid batteries, fuels, solvents, oils or equipment containing these) Ask depending on if it is something we can utilize for the services we offer.
  • Humidifiers 
  • Large appliances (stoves/ovens, refrigerators, dish washers)
  • Manufacturer recalled consumer items or items that do not meet current safety standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission 
  • Mattresses, box springs, waterbeds · Medical assistive devices and hospital beds 
  • Pharmaceuticals 
  • Pianos and Organs 
  • Smoke Detectors 
  • Swing Sets 
  • Televisions, CRT (tube style TVs in any condition) 
  • Venetian Blinds, Used (New Okay)
  • Wall-to-Wall Carpeting
